Last night was the opening of the AVA group‘s Nosh show, in which I lucky enough to be invited to participate as a guest artist.  The idea was that every artist offered a visual interpretation of their favourite recipes, which were then compiled into a cookbook.  My piece was about split pea soup, a yummy Fall/ Winter vegetarian comfort food.  The coolest part was probably seeing how so many different artists interpreted a theme.  Artwork can be seen at Adeline Cafe (952 Commercial Drive) until Dec 15th.  Every piece of original artwork is $100, cookbooks are $15, with proceeds going to AVA.
